Construction & Rail Training

A more recent development within Greenlight is the addition of a training division, specialising in training for the Construction & Rail Industries,

Greenlight has, since August 2007, trained over 250 delegates to date, with an 80% conversion rate into work.

All courses are nationally recognised and have included Part 1 CISRS Basic Scaffolding, 2 Day Personal Track Safety (PTS), 10 day full Rail Track Induction (T.I), Dri-Lining, Rail COSS, First Aid and Abrasive Wheels. Greenlight have the ability to tailor courses to the needs of the individuals or companies, thus enabling a wide variety of training possibilities.

Greenlight have a dedicated Rail Training Facility based at the Pontypool & Blaenavon Historical Railway. This is a unique training facility within Wales as it enables workers to gain the full experience needed for a career in the Railway Industry. As part of our on-going commitment to P&B Railway, the 2nd week of our Track Induction Course is dedicated to explaining the use of Railway tools through the renovation of old track. This enables P&B Railway, whom previously relied on volunteers, to maintain the track much more quickly, effectively and to Network Rail Standards.

During the latter part of 2008, we are aiming to have open 2 brand new training centres. These will be located in North Wales and in the Swansea/Bridgend area.

At present we are proud to be working alongside such recognised National Employment Agencies as JOBMATCH, WORKING LINKS, REMPLOY, RE-ACT, NEIGHBOURHOOD LEARNING and MANPOWER. Greenlight have partnered with many of Wales' leading trainers to supply these courses at prices to suit all budgets. We will provide training for companies and individuals alike.
